The Photo Gallery

Thanks to the wonderful site administrator, I now have a photo gallery! So far, you can see a sampling of pictures from Ireland and the items I'm working on for the fall craft show in Hot Springs Village. The albums are password protected, and if you know the name of our bbd (big black dog), you can get in using all lower case letters.

They're Here!

The annual visit from the barn swallows is here! For the past seven or eight years, we have been fortunate enough to have one or more barn swallow families take up residence on our porch. They return around this same time each year, fortify the existing nests (we haven't the heart to knock them down), and settle in. Four or five babies will hatch in a couple of weeks. It's amazing to watch as the new barn swallows enter the wide world. And now you can watch and listen along with us! The bird cam is up and focused on the back porch nest. You will need to use Internet Explorer for viewing. http://birdcam.selfip.com:800/

Animusic

Animusic
Another entry from "Eye Drops". And one that should not be missed. We have both DVDs and share them with anyone who will sit down to watch. People like them for different reasons. My nephews think the robots are "totally cool". Some appreciate the work behind the scenes. Some like the music. I like the whole package. Buy a copy or two or three. "Pipe Dream" is probably their most famous animation.

The Battle Concerto for Two Ninjas

Back when G4 TV was TechTV and a real network, they had a show called "Eye Drops". It featured animated shorts and highlighted the latest advances in the animation industry. My senior technical research paper was on fractals and computer animation. Before Steve and Ellen became a couple, Steve helped Ellen with her paper by sharing a VHS of some animation. When shown during the oral review, it thankfully took up valuable presentation time. In some former version of myself, I considered going to graduate school to study computer animation. Thank goodness that never happened. Now I just enjoy the animation.

Here's one that made me laugh... The Battle Concerto for Two Ninjas
